Arizona State University: Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight
AeroGuard Partners with ASU to Provide Flight Training As Part of their B.S. Degree
Pursue a Professional Flight Degree with Arizona State University and AeroGuard Flight Training Center
AeroGuard is proud to partner with Arizona State University as the flight training provider for their students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Management Technology (Professional Flight) degree program.
Over our 20+ years of experience, AeroGuard has built a supportive training environment and industry-leading curriculum, processes, and procedures to provide a strong foundation of flight training that prepares students for their careers as experienced and professional airline pilots.
The Path to Your Degree and Pilot Career
Within this degree program, students will obtain their Private Pilot License (optional), Instrument Rating, Commercial Single and Multi Engine, and have the option to also gain their Certified Flight Instructor and Flight Instructor Instrument, and Multi-Engine Instructor ratings. Students will participate in ground school with ASU, have individual one-on-one briefs, and take advantage of supporting staff and other student resources to ensure they are met with success throughout the entirety of their training.
Flight training can be accomplished in a variety of ways and obtaining that training in conjunction with a collegiate degree create a valuable and rewarding career for participants. While the pacing of the program may differ from AeroGuard’s accelerated Pilot Pathway Program, students will graduate with the valuable benefit of having R-ATP requirements. Most aviators starting out in their career must reach 1,500 hours before operating aircraft for the airlines. However, with this program, those hours are reduced to 1,000.
Overall, students will profit from the over-arching education they will receive at ASU while solidifying their aviation knowledge and flying skills during their training at AeroGuard.
Flight Training Locations
AeroGuard’s high-quality, safety focused training for the ASU Program will be conducted out of Chandler Airports and Deer Valley Airport giving students two options in the local Phoenix, Arizona area. The Chandler flight school location is just 10-minutes from ASU’s Polytechnic campus. Either location provides students with ideal training conditions, local airspace and complexity, and prime weather conditions for year-round flight training.
Arizona has over 300 days of sunshine a year, meaning more opportunities to fly and less training setbacks from uncontrolled weather variables.
