AeroGuard Flight Training Center is based in the Valley of the Sun; Phoenix, Arizona. With an average annual high of 87°F, low of 61°F, and an average annual precipitation of .69 inches, flight training is rarely delayed for bad weather—so you can accumulate flight hours safer and faster.

The Phoenix metropolitan area offers diverse flying experiences. Phoenix contains a mix of controlled (class A-E) and uncontrolled (class G) airspace. Learning how to fly in busy and complex controlled airspace is critical for your development as a professional pilot. That uncontrolled airspace—located a short flight from our campus—offers you a convenient location to practice flight maneuvers without distractions.

Another advantage to flight training in Arizona is the number of available airports. The AeroGuard Elite program will engage you with over a dozen different airports in the immediate Phoenix area. It’s local training that gives you easy access to a wide variety of airports and instrument procedures. This keeps training interesting and realistic, providing real-world experience you can’t get anywhere else.

Arizona and the surrounding states present a diverse mix of weather conditions and destinations that are ideal for cross-country flight training. Believe us, you’ll want to fly here.
